12 December 2017. Worth repeating after the long wait.

Xbox One console owners have been waiting for a more specific date than the “late 2017” they got at the announcement that PUBG would be coming to the Xbox. PUBG has been available on PC through Steam since March and became the most popular game on Steam with 8 million copies sold and close to 1 million concurrent players. Knocking Dota 2 of the pole position.

Still no news on PUBG for the Playstation 4

There is still no news on a Playstation 4 PUBG release. But news also came that PUBG version 1.0 for PC will be released in late December. That does mean that the Xbox One version and the PC versions of PUBG will not be the same or follow the same development path.

“Various Xbox One features and functionality will change and come online over time just like they have on PC, with our goal being to have both versions align to each other as soon as possible,” said Chang Han Kim, CEO of PUBG Corp.

Xbox One players can also look forward to three different limited-edition cosmetic packs that will be exclusive to Xbox. There was no talk of pricing or timing, but it was made clear that the limited-edition PUBG cosmetics packs will only be available for a limited time.
